ATLAS: Assisting Teaching and Learning with AI-based Solutions
ATLAS will design, test and promote Generative AI Use Cases in HE with the aim to enhance teachers’ efficiency, teaching effectiveness and student engagement. It empowers professors to integrate in their activities GenAI tools in an ethically responsible, pedagogically sound and easily scalable way. By fostering interdisciplinary collaboration among HEIs and promoting GenAI onboarding initiatives, ATLAS aims to contribute to EU priorities on strengthening digital competences in education.
The activities in ATLAS include: Project management, dissemination and reporting of the entire project Design and test GenAI Use Cases for teaching contents, assessments, tutoring Develop guidelines on GenAI use in teaching and tutoring Evaluate AI-driven teaching and tutoring approaches, addressing ethical, legal and pedagogical aspects 18 internal training workshops to promote effective and responsible GenAI adoption in HE 3 Transnational Project Meetings (Rome, Konstanz and Brussels) combined with international LTT workshops.
ATLAS will deliver evidence-based training package and guidelines for deploying Generative AI tools in teaching and tutoring, ensuring pedagogical effectiveness with a full ethical and legal alignment. Through a two-cycle agile approach, GenAI Use Cases will be tested across universities and faculties, shaping course design and programme management. Results include teachers onboarding activities with microcredentials, dissemination events in each country, a student Hackathon.
